Southview Veterinary Hospital was formally established in 2001 in a purpose built facility. The partnership of Alan Ahearne MVB and Sarah Mitchell MVB took over Southview Veterinary Hospital in March 2003. Since then Southview Veterinary Hospital has grown into a four vet practice employing three nurses, a dog groomer and three administrative staff.
Southview Veterinary Hospital is a mixed practice providing small animal, equine and large animal veterinary services, specialising in reproduction and advanced surgery. The practice has experienced a lot of growth, particularly in the small animal business over the last number of years. Southview has been an officially accredited Small Animal Veterinary Hospital since 2002.
Southview Veterinary Hospital was the overall national winner of the Stronghold Veterinary Pet Care Awards in 2006. Nominated by pet owners and members of the public we were delighted to receive the award in recognition of work done by the practice. The nomination spoke of “an amazing team”, “great empathy” and “refusal to give up”.
We use an appointment system at Southview Veterinary Hospital to reduce waiting times and to allow for minimum stress to owners and pets in the Waiting Room. We also have detailed consent forms with attached questionnaires prior to surgery and consultations to prompt any queries you may have about your pet. Visiting a vet can be quite a stressful time for you and your pet and it is easy to forget your list of questions!
We are constantly striving to improve our customer and patient care and welcome any feedback (positive and negative).
We aim to provide our patients with the highest standard of medical and surgical care in a professional and compassionate manner. We will treat all pets as if they were our own. We will constantly strive to better ourselves in a continuing effort to provide only the best possible care for our clients and their pets.
